Hi Steve,<div><br></div><div>My review was rushed and I missed some important details.</div><div><br></div><div>Many Martians have already seen prototypes of the Butterfly. Butterfly is based on Rich Sadler's early folder models. But this one is completely different, faster (to fold and unfold and to ride), lighter, and beautiful fit and finish. (Actually, I am guessing that it rides faster. The only way to tell is if someone rode both bikes and clocked the results. It seem fast.)</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you want more information, call Rich as he is the brains behind Butterfly's operation.</div><div><br></div><div>OP</div><div><br></div><div><div class="gmail_quote">On Sun, Mar 21, 2010 at 10:15 PM, <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:Sfriedlander2@aol.com">Sfriedlander2@aol.com</a>></span> wrote:<br>

<div style="font:10pt arial"><b>Subject:</b> [Bent] Test Ride of New Folder
from Butterfly Bicycles</div>
<div><br></div>Today I went on a 10 mile ride with my new folding recumbent
bike. This was the first production model of Butterfly Bicycles.
<div><br></div>
<div>It had been two weeks since I took possession, so I was not sure
that I would remember how to fold and unfold it even though the manufacturer
left me a one page check list. But I had no problems. </div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I wanted and easy ride for the maiden voyage, so I waited until my wife
wanted to ride with me. She is a good rider, but a bit slower than me.
My problem was that this new recumbent was not only smooth, but it also
went faster than I expected, causing me not to get much exercise on the ride
as I wanted to keep my bride in sight. I took the hills, both up and
down, very well. It also has a built in shock, so it was very
smooth.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>The components on the bike are first rate: Ultegra fork, etc.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>The bike has beautiful fit and finish and is powder coated red.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>It takes a minute to fold and 2 minutes to unfold.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I highly recommend it.</div>
