I probably take my car to NYC on less than 1 out of 10 trips. Sometimes I do need my car. For example, I cannot take my dog on the train, so I need to take my car when Fido is with me. Others may need their car to take heavy files, luggage or furniture with them.<div>
<br></div><div>Also note that our trains and buses are very expensive, and not so quick, so it may be a lot faster and a little cheaper for a family of 5 to drive than to use public transportation.<br><div><br></div><div>

There are an increasing number of bike lanes, even some separated from the car flow. However, I don't use them. It's faster to just take the road and mix it up with traffic. More fun too. </div>
