Don, thanks for your kind words.

I was pretty pleased with the ride. It would have been better had the weather cooperated, and two of the riders not had to separate, and another not been plagued by a chronic flat tire. But the company was good, and the roads were quiet and scenic, and it felt good to be out on the road.

Don (and his amazing homebuilt LWB lowracer) was the only one who came as a result of the list announcement. Also riding were local recument riders David (on a Tour Easy) and Justin (on a Bachetta), and DF rider Erika.

Regards,

"Hi John,
Yes I went on the ride. We road from New Paltz through Rosendale into Kingston.
There might have been a town or two in between. The area is just beautiful, especially
for bike riding. Light traffic and not a single horn blast. Unfortunately Justin and I
were both short on time. So we did not stay for lunch in Kingston, bailed on the other
three and rode the shortest way back to New Paltz. Even with that I still got in 32
miles. The weather was threatening most of the day but rain never happened. Eric is a
great ride leader. I would definitely do that ride again. This time I'll make sure I have
no time issues. Don"
