Sorry to hear about the attack! I remember how strong and fast you are on that vision!
Take it slow you'll get your legs back! I remember way back I stopped riding for a year or two.I lived in Rockland at the time. On my first get back in shape ride I bonked also on the first hill! I remember getting faint and things going dark!
There I was sitting on the side of the road in dis-belief ! 

Well of course I swore that will never happen again,that one of the reasons I won't get off my bike no matter what!

Hi all,

I intend to ride as a front-line marshal once again. I missed it lastyear because I suffered a mild heart attack. The weather was crappyanyway, so I don't feel so bad.

The bummer is that they're not having the pre-ride for marshals this year-- city budget problems are the apparent culprit. As you probably know,we'd ride the whole 42+ miles the Sunday before, and this took placeevery year that I was a marshal. In fact, some people would ride thepre-ride and not bother to show up the subsequent Sunday. The pre-rideswere almost the best part of doing the ride.

I'm rather glad that I had suffered the heart attack when I did, lastApril 16. If my coronary event had waited to occur and if I HAD gone onthe pre-ride on April 26, which was an unseasonably warm (hot?) Sunday,then I fear what might have happened chugging up that first Central Parkhill or the 59th St Bridge or the VZ. 

I'm fine now, but with the crappy weather we've been having, I haven'tbeen out all that much and find it a bit difficult getting my biker'slegs back this year. In fact, I bonked leaving Long Beach going north,facing a very stiff head wind the first ride of the season.

Anyway, I hope to see yuz all on May 2.
