Subject: [Bent] Test Ride of New Folder from Butterfly Bicycles

Today I went on a 10 mile ride with my new folding recumbent bike. This was the first production model of Butterfly Bicycles.

It had been two weeks since I took possession, so I was not sure that I would remember how to fold and unfold it even though the manufacturer left me a one page check list. But I had no problems.

I wanted and easy ride for the maiden voyage, so I waited until my wife wanted to ride with me. She is a good rider, but a bit slower than me. My problem was that this new recumbent was not only smooth, but it also went faster than I expected, causing me not to get much exercise on the ride as I wanted to keep my bride in sight. I took the hills, both up and down, very well. It also has a built in shock, so it was very smooth.

The components on the bike are first rate: Ultegra fork, etc.

The bike has beautiful fit and finish and is powder coated red.

It takes a minute to fold and 2 minutes to unfold.

  I highly recommend it.
