Oh come on Shelly.  Riding in NYC after a blizzard is not like riding in the
rest of the world after a blizzard.

NYC streets have so much traffic, salt, plow trucks, and steam vents that
they do not stay slippery for long.  Do not think of yourself as superman
because you are riding today. (Perhaps you have other powers. :>
