Hi, all.

Sorry for the non-bike-related message, but many of you are friends in  
fact and the rest are friends in spirit, so I thought it appropriate  
to post here.

Big news...

The organizers of the NY Marathon have asked my band, Cool Shoes, to  
play in Columbus Circle, near the finish of the race!

Sunday, November 1.

This is probably the only opportunity that those of you who live in  
the city will ever get to see us without having to travel up north.

All we know is that we're scheduled to play two sets, from 4:00 to  
4:45 and again from 5:00 to 5:30, and that the stage is somewhere in  
the vicinity of Columbus Circle. They're providing us with equipment,  
PA support, plus a stage and probably lights... all we do is show up  
with instruments and play.

Hopefully things will go down on schedule. We shall see... I make no  
promises.

This is late in the day, well after the main action is over, I think.  
I've never attended the event, so I don't really know. If I'm right,  
then it is good because the mad crowd will probably have dissipated.  
It also might be bad because... the mad crowd will probably have  
dissipated.

PLEASE come out, jump up and down, scream and shout!

Or come on out on your bent, sit, relax, and spread the message.....

We'd GREATLY appreciate any photos and/or video that might result.
