I'm sorry I will be out of town and can't make Round Valley. Here is something that some might find interesting. I am thinking of going.

  Moonlight Memorial Monument Ride
      October 31st
START: PAC HI Hostel - 11th & K Street, NW
Gather at 8:00PM - Rides starts at 8:30 PM
See our Nation's Capitol as few have on Halloween night. Moonrise is 4:39 PM, so the moon will be very helpful. From the Capitol to the Washington Monument, from the Lincoln Memorial to Hains Point on the banks of the serene rippling night time Potomac. Illuminated granite buildings, quiet streets, easy parking, and low traffic will contribute to a memorable experience. Participants will be given a cue sheet and receive limited emergency mechanical support from roving mechanics on bikes, but organizers request that bikes be in working shape before beginning the 15 mile ride. The ride is free of charge but donations, recommended $10, are encouraged for the Potomac Area Council of the non-profit Hostelling International, formerly AYH. Bikes must be equipped with working lights, and organizers will have some available at wholesale cost. Support provided by Mt Airy Bicycles/College Park Bicycles. The PAC HI Hostel is at 11th & K St NW, near the McPherson Square Metro stop. Linda and Larry Black 301/831-5151.

Please be aware the ride is on city streets and NOT closed to traffic.
