Chris,
Your story reminds me of the time one of my shoes was stuck on the cleat while riding. I turned off the road into a residential neighborhood and rode up to the first person I saw. I asked her to undo the velcro strap on my shoe, so I could remove my foot and get off the bike. I rode home with the shoe strap loose enough to remove my foot at the end of the ride and thus avoided any falls.

27.08 mph is dam fast
great report
I had old streamliner out yesterday up around 23-26 mph good run
old shoes would not brake out of cleats,
was trapped in machine,went into a local bank parking lot and rolled over.
No damage and to early for folks to see
