[Bent] recumbent kayak

I personally wouldn't want a Hobie. I do a lot of cycling so my legs are in great shape. It's the upper part of my body that needs exercise. For this I rake leaves, shovel snow, dig in the garden, cut/split wood for the stove using hand tools, row a boat on my lake, and paddled my kayak.

In terms of handling in around things paddles give wonderful control. Hobies may be good on a lake but I would not take a Hobie down a river such as the Delaware. You wouldn't be able to move the boat sideways to get around a rock. The underbelly paddles would get wiped off the boat by a rock.
