[Bent] Sunday Ride and Nautica Triathlon

Hello everybody, My name's Fred Thompson and I'm hoping to join the group?at the ferry's Manahattan terminal on Sunday morning. I plan to arrive at the terminal @ 10 AM or so. 

I'm new to recumbent riding. I rode an upright, then?put it away?years ago - neck hurt, shoulders hurt, crotch hurt ... usual complaints. I picked up a BikeE this spring and have been happily peddling my 'bent' around Long Island since then. This will be my first NYC ride (earlier bike riding was on the west coast and in the midwest) so I'm looking forward to doing it with company (assuming, of course, I can keep up with all of you!)

FYI: The NYC Nautica Triathlon is scheduled for Sunday. Spoke with a friend who'll be participating and he said there will likely be 7,000 or more participants. I know the City is closing streets etc. The bike part of the triathlon is from the 79th Street Boat Basin to Riverdale and back. The run follows 72nd Street into Central Park, loops around the Park and ends at?Dead Road in the Park.
